Natural gas and propane can be used for many different things such as heating buildings, water heaters, operating refrigeration equipment, furnaces, dryers, and cooking appliances. These systems consist of a propane tank outside of the building, either above or below ground that injects vapor and air into the piping system to supplement gas. From here pipes run underground and then throughout the building. Regulators are put in place to make sure the right amount of gas is flowing to the building. Natural gas systems work about the same way, only instead of an external tank the building has pipe running to the gas utility hookup.
These systems are more reliable, cost efficient, and convenient than electric systems. Initial costs may be higher than electric systems; however, running natural gas or propane is cheaper in the long run. Another advantage gas systems have is that they do not cease operating in a power outage. Our experts at Heil Mechanical have the experience and technology to design and install the best natural gas and propane systems for you.
